Google's Digital Garage - A free course on Digital Marketing by Google

So, I had been thinking of doing a course on digital marketing to understand the landscape and reach out to consumers in a better possible way . I landed up on the free course offered by Google, referred to by some friends. When I registered for the course, I wasn't sure what to expect and whether it will

be something that would keep my interest till end.  But I was pleasantly surprised !

It had 26 Badges and 106 video lessons which need to be completed, and it keeps offering a star for completing every badge . Now, it is a big motivator to keep seeing 

your scores getting higher!

The course is an easy read , and gives a good overview to understand the tools and handy apps for planning your digital media strategy. You can also do this course along with your full time job, at your convenient time , by resuming where you left it last. Topics covered in the course are activities such as online marketing , SEO, SEM, Social Media Marketing, Content creation, e - commerce and entrepreneurial skills that are crucial elements  of the digital media landscape .

The user interface is very intuitive and engaging and each topic is independent, so you can toggle between the chapters to change monotony. Each chapter finishes with a quiz to test your knowledge and give you rewards as you keep finishing your tasks. 

Overall , I would highly recommend this a very elaborate starting course for entrepreneurs,  SMEs, Marketing professionals and Bloggers. It is a tool that will help you think about your digital media strategy in a holistic manner an also drives you towards think your overall execution plan .

In the end , you feel wonderful for going through so many hours of learning new stuff and getting certified too !
